Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid
A naturally occurring substance found in fluids in the eyes and joints1,2, and can also be found in high concentrations on the skin3. Hyaluronic acid serves as a cushion and lubricant in joints and other tissues. Its viscosity gives it excellent water retention qualities.
Hyaluronic acid production, like collagen, decreases with age, which can lead to the loss of elasticity of the skin, which is linked to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles forming on the surface of the skin4.
